it’s not often a movie will make me cry just by existing but seeing this in 3D after not having seen anything in 3D in a decade was pretty magical and overwhelming. There’s no debate about the quality of these effects anymore, they’re so seamless you forget to even wonder if they’re not. Cameron does go bigger and more complex, in a way that I think will benefit from a second viewing. It’s not gonna win a screenplay award but it’s perfectly serviceable for this kind of blockbuster entertainment, with tons of character and heart. Best part was Kiri, the whales, and whenever they were just hangin out. The kids remind me of the ones from House of the Dragon. Go see it!
