In literature, Florida Noir is a popular subgenre that has had a wide variety of writers, including Elmore Leonard and Ernest Hemingway. Mysteries and crime novels set in Florida are constantly being made, but in film, the genre is much smaller. Here is a list of movies that I would classify as Florida Noir, either they are set in Florida, or the main character is from Florida (this applies to any Elmore Leonard adaptations).
