Decision to Leave

A complex, beautiful, tragic, and visually gorgeous romantic thriller that honestly floored me. Chan-wook directed the hell out of this. Some of the best camerawork and editing I’ve seen in a while. Great performances. A few pacing issues, but ultimately this was a hell of a ride

I finished Cowboy Bebop. What a beautiful show. The unique blend of genres, incredible animation, characters, music, action, and thematic weight really were incredible. I loved the subtlety of the Watanabe’s writing. I’m way more depressed now than I ever expected. What a series.

Holy shit. This is epic cinema. Tom Cruise is the greatest of all time. You can see its rough edges in the first hour and not everything works, but when this thing really ramps up its the greatest movie ever made. The submarine and plane sequences might be the best in the franchise. Gabriel should’ve been a much stronger antagonist. I cheered, laughed, cried, and had a great time at the movies

Very fun and heartwarming! Wes Anderson continues to expand and experiment his style to tell a story about connection, atonement, and faith. Plenty of hilarious writing and gags that involve assassination attempts, spies, basketball, karate, bugs, and more. Not as ambitious as Asteroid City, but still a very good time at the movies. Benicio del Toro, Mia Threapleton, and Michael Cera are great. I really liked this.
