the movie ended an hour ago and i’m still crying

this movie is the definition of if he wanted to he would

not sure if i love this film so much for Guðnadóttir‘s score, Phoenix’s performance, or because I, too, am delusional🫶🏻

any movie with near flawless production that actively makes me root for the murderer the entire time, knowing from the start that he ends up a villain, is an easy five stars. i never get sick of this movie.

i was going to write a review about what happened in the movie but i think it might be easier to write a review about what didn’t happen in the movie

presents a lead character that everyone can see a piece of their adolescent self in, while achieving the most effective invocation of nostalgia i’ve personally experienced from a film

a potentially engaging concept wasted by the last 2/3 of the movie

i think if the xenomorphs and humans could have just sat down and had a conversation, all of this would have been avoided :/

i came here for a basic summer blockbuster, cheesy romance, and a good time at the movies. did not disappoint!

a hilarious mixture of adventure, comedy, and existential dread
