Baffled at all the mid reviews for this. The cat comes in at minute 3, he cycles around, he toots, he’s mates with a frog. What more do people want? It’s like what if Totoro was cool

Quite extraordinary to see such an adult and mature film animated in the style of classic Disney. This was the most expensive animated film ever made in and it shows. Would be great to see more films of this nature made in this style. It creates a jarring effect which suits the uncanny thriller to a tee
Also extraordinary: a hilariously literal theme song about hunting a serial killer cat sung by Actual Boy George
Was nowhere near prepared for how good this would be. The story was fun and pacey, the themes were surprisingly mature, the action was among the best I’ve ever seen in an animated movie
The post-Spiderverse diversification of style in Hollywood animation continues apace. After years of samey CGI, it’s such a thrill to see what the talent at these studios can achieve when they move even slightly outside of the industry’s decades old comfort zone
Didn’t think we’d ever see a new contender for ‘Best Shrek Movie’, and yet…
