Despite knowing this film inside and out, I welcome every minute of runtime. It has so many of my favorite aspects of SF beautifully woven together. Strung together by an amazing cast and a respectable budget for a non-superhero SF film.

Did The Asylum ever do a remake of this where they just nuked the whole state of Iowa? ... Asking for a friend.

The Puppet Masters is earnest enough in its delivery to hold focus. I just loved the mini alien manta rays design and their harpooning ability. Maybe some of the mechanics of initial capture were a bit sus at times, but that'd be nitpicking lol. It's goofy fun, gotta roll with it.

The cast also is quite reasonable…
