Watched with my 2-year old son. Here are some of his observations:
- Darth Vader is "sick" (ill)
- Every planet was "Earth"
- The Death Star was "Moon" (that's no moon, son)
- Every spacecraft was a "rocket ship"
- "The robot (C3PO) walks on 2 legs!"
- Chewbacca is his favorite character
- Jawas are scary

Ballerina proves itself a worthy spin-off of the John Wick universe. Although the first third suffers from what I assume is the behind-the-scenes drama involving rewrites and reshoots, Ballerina finds its focus in the second act. The fight scenes are on-brand for a John Wick movie, but highlight the fact that a 5'6" Ana De Armas needs to fight differently than a 6'1" Keanu Reeves, featuring a more scrappy and resourceful fighter (plus dueling flamethrowers, how cool is that?)

Following up Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse seems like an impossible feat. How can you make the sequel as artistically creative and heartfelt as its predecessor? Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse is how.

Not worth all the summer hype, but not as bad as some people are saying either. Florence Pugh is great (duh) and the movie is beautiful, but the pacing is off. A better constructed movie could have given everything this story gave us as well explored some of the more interesting characters (like Olivia Wilde, Chris Pine, and Gemma Chan). Digging into these characters stories would have helped elevate Don’t Worry Darling's social commentary above the basics.
