THOUGHTS
Fun and entertaining good-vs.-evil space adventure with some surprising twists, plenty of action and nice humorous relief. Lots of heart too. It goes off the rails a bit near the end, discarding story logic. But still, a good flick for the whole family.

This is the first South Korean sci-fi film set in space.

Metropolis has long been a blindspot for me. I finally got to see the 2010 restored version that clocks in at two and half hours. THOUGHTS
Creeeeeeepy (and kinda gross). Director and co-writer Georges Franju creates a superbly unsettling tale that explores the extent we’ll go to for beauty — and for the love of our own children, especially when driven by guilt. Eyes Without a Face came out in the same year as Psycho, and I see similarities in their black-and-white eeriness.
