"When you were 11, what did you think you would be doing now?"

Several years ago, I can't pinpoint an exact time, but I I specific day that I haven't gone a day without thinking of since. I was younger, naïve, and on a trip with my family. We'd just got out of security at the airport and gone to the terminal to wait for our flight. I my dad getting up to go to the bathroom or…

"You hate yourself, don't you? That's why you hurt others. Deep down you know you suffer more when you cause someone else pain... than if you just let yourself get hurt."

About 5 or so months ago I finished one my favorite shows of all time, Neon Genesis Evangelion, along with its companion piece, The End of Evangelion. At the time I saw this film as an unratable masterpiece. I knew I loved it, but couldn't place why. Now, after…

"If ever somethin' don't feel right to you, what Pancho said to the Cisco Kid: 'Let's win, before we're dancing at the end of a rope, without music.'"

The greatest thing about seeing a film from David Lynch is that it is guaranteed to alter the way you view life entirely. Love is such a powerful, strange, and indescribable emotion, yet Lynch is able to convey it with such a beauty. One of the less Lynchian of his films,…

" who the real enemy is."

An improvement on the original in pretty much every aspect, especially the character work. Katniss and Peeta feel much more developed and less one dimensional. Francis Lawrence's directing feels like it was made for this franchise so I'm very excited to check out the rest of his installments. Also Phillip Seymour Hoffman is in this one so it's immediately better than the one that doesn't.

"Nothing is written."

When the first Mission: Impossible movie came out in 1996 my dad saw it in theaters. And now, 30 years later, I am the exact age that he was when he first saw Ethan Hunt on the big screen. And together, we saw Ethan's last mission, in all its glory. Over the last month or so I've rewatched this series, knowing ultimately that with every rewatch I grew closer to the end, but what an end it…

"I am the FBI."

It's over. It's been 7 months since I started the show that has forever altered me in ways I can't explain. For better or for worse I'm not the same person I was 7 months ago. Since I hit play on the pilot episode in October of last year, people have entered and exited my life, I've learned so much, felt so much sadness, I almost died. It feels like so long ago. If I spoke…
