our scars can destroy us, even after the physical wounds have healed. but if we survive them, they can transform us. they can give us the power to endure, and the strength to fight.

i feel like i could write a whole essay on how much this movie means to me and how perfect it is. it holds a special place in my heart and isn't just my favourite comic book movie but one of my favourite movies ever. everything…

i am your father

holy fucking shit. they really took everything that was so good about the first movie and somehow made it even better. everything in this movie is absolutely perfect, from the writing, the acting, the cinematography, that beautiful score, i really could not find any faults at all. darth vader is truly one of the greatest fictional villains in cinematic history. the influence and effect it had on pop culture and so many other movies is still felt today, and no wonder, cause who wouldn't want to be inspired by this masterpiece.

neo, sooner or later you're going to realize just as i did that there's a difference between knowing the path and walking the path

gonna try and watch the entire matrix franchise in the next few days so thought i'd go ahead and rewatch this one. not just one of the best sci-fi movies, but one of the greatest movies ever. interesting, unique and creative story, beautiful cinematography with expert direction by the wachowski sisters and just great acting from…

i volunteer as tribute

grew up watching these movies and the nostalgia i get everytime i watch is insane. this was such a great way to start off the franchise and establish the characters. the tension throughout the entire film is great, the cinematography is pretty good and the acting by the entire cast is amazing. i guess my only complaint would be the camera work but other than that this is such a good film.

i was born when she kissed me, i died when she left me, i lived a few weeks while she loved me.

a film that starts off by luring you in thinking it'll be a murder mystery but instead turns into an exploration of love and self-destruction. bogart is absolutely magnetic in this, playing the character of dixon steele and capturing his inner fears and paranoia perfectly. the screenplay and cinematography are easily my favourite parts in this, just an instant all-timer.

i have no regrets, neither should you

what an insane way to end one of the most iconic action franchises of all time. going into it, i was a little scared cause of the critic reactions being so divided on this, but i still had faith that tom cruise and chris mcquarrie pulled through, and they definitely did. everything that is so great about the past seven films is taken and dialled up to a ten in this one. the…
