actually i’m pissed at how shitty people treat this movie 😭 maybe i just love “bad” movies. i know i have a nostalgic factor because i watched this when it came out but still i don’t see why it’s so hated. it’s a pg - 13 rating, in my opinion it’s a great movie to watch as an introduction to horror films, like a less intense slasher! still occasional kill scenes of course but less gore. idk man 2008 prom vibe is iconic in its own way i love the throwback vibe. a weird comparison but now that im thinking about it, it reminds me of the movie April Fools Day - not storyline wise but in of gore level, iconic time periods you can immediately guess based on vibes, & the way they’re both plot driven with a couple kill scenes that classify them as slashers. it’s a classic 2000s horror im rating it a 5 star fuck the haters fr. Prom Night was also the start of Brittany Snow’s horror career, she’s a certified scream queen! 🪩☠️

a movie i never expected to become one of my comfort rewatches but here we are! it never fails to make me laugh and when i’m in a dark place i feel like Peter’s character can be so relatable. it’s inspiring to see him get out of his funk, like there’s something about him following his dreams to make a “Dracula’s puppet musical” even after life crewed him up and spit him out. it makes me love the movie on a deeper level than just loving the comical side of it. i also think the casting choice is phenomenal i couldn’t imagine anyone else in these roles tbh. catch me logging this a couple times a year for the unforeseeable future 🧛‍♂️🏝️❤️‍🩹

me watching this movie after renting it at family video one random day in 2009 - wow this is a new movie today and one day it’ll just be an old movie and i’ll forever think back to this exact moment when it was new.….. like okay why did i become conscious in that moment 😭🤣 so no matter what if this movie is brought up i’ll always just think of that lolll the nostalgia runs deep which is why i think i enjoy it so much. is it realistic? no. morally correct? no; it’s kind of savage when you step back and think about it LOL but in the world of rom coms i still enjoyed it for what it was. i constantly found myself laughing and reminiscing the scenes i ed. Betty White is iconic in this as well! a solid 4 star extra .5 for the nostalgia

Bring Her Back was stocked full of terrifying imagery with a creepy atmosphere yet heart breaking storyline. this was the first a24 film i’ve watched in a movie theater & I’m now convinced that i need to see them all on the big screen! it was soooo captivating to see the story unfold into the treacherous climax it was slowly building up to. & the fcking jumpscare of ollie at the end?? 🫃 i was not ready for all that; but at the same time i wasn’t surprised at all considering it’s by a24. it was also very on brand coming from the directors of “Talk To Me”, which is another movie full of intensely graphic scenes with a heart breaking story! very impressed with both of their movies so far and i’m highly anticipating their next project🧑‍🦯

what if i said i loved it 🫣 i thought it was a cute adaptation! it doesn’t compare to the nostalgia from the original of course but i did really enjoy it! i understand the ending is bittersweet but realistically i think it’s the best outcome for everyone involved! please, the neighbor was such a sweetheart you’re telling me Lilo isn’t going to be happy with her? it was also her idea in the first place to let Lilo adopt Stitch so you know she will prioritize their bond. in a perfect world, her sister is successful & takes guardianship when she’s financially stable, so WHY ARE WE MAD. i think it was the best decision for everyone involved 💙

ya know it’s not the best in the franchise but after rewatching i realized i definitely have an appreciation for this one too! i will say, the storyline felt a lil weak compared to the 3 before but i think the kill scenes were comparably iconic to the previous ones! i’d love to see this in 3D some day, i think it’d really elevate the experience.

weird girl falls for weird guy - a tale as old as time

i love cinema that genuinely causes a full body experience; between the intense visuals & feelings that it evokes i think Sinners is a perfect example of that. i watched this at midnight alone which really enhanced the tense sensations to the max. also it would be criminal if i didn’t mention their use of music! it really added so much soul to the movie i thought it was a beautiful touch for such a dark and twisted storyline. did you guys stay for the end credit scene?! if not i highly suggest revisiting! anyways id rank this as one of the best vampire horror films i’ve seen! 🎼🧛‍♀️❤️‍🩹

the perfect midnight movie especially if you’re a lil cross faded 🫨 the beginning montage had me laughing so fucking hard i knew i was in for a wild ride! Michael Cera is a legend - part of me wants to pretend he’s that unhinged in real life LOL. honestly this felt like a ion project between a group of besties and i couldn’t get enough of it! as time went on, it definitely became increasingly more absurd which i could see people shying away from but i was loving the chaotic climax! a classic stoner comedy, forever mourning the friendship between Seth Rogan & James Franco because their dynamic was perfect for that genre.

Tammy & the T Rex is cousins with Frankenhooker, figuratively of course because they’re soooo the same brand of cinema! fever dream vibes im actually obsessed & the practical effects are perfect! it may not be for everyone but it’s yet another unconventional love story i adore 💋🦖

oh this was so cozy in such a 90s nostalgic kind of way, and that was my first watch! i thought it was so whimsical mixed with a darker tone i felt drawn into the story to moment joon came on the screen & even more so when benny was introduced! 

side note - i too would form a secret love with the manic pixie dream boy aka 90s johnny depp 🤹

i was pleasantly surprised with how much i enjoyed Set It Up! extra points because they didn’t force Lucy Liu to marry that shady mf just to make a fully “happy” ending; i really thought it was gonna turn into that at one point! i didn’t know what to except when i started this movie, i went in completely blind and i thought the plot was unique which really gave it a refreshing vibe. anyways i feel like i haven’t watched a lot of “office” rom coms but they’re certainly growing on me! this movie actually reminded me to watch “In Good Company” again! another classic office rom com. also, so far i’ve loved every single movie i’ve watched with Zoey Deutch and i truly can’t wait to see what she’s working on next! 👩🏻‍💼📈💓

my favorite horror movie 🥰  LOL no but honestly this is one of those movies that hurt so good. after watching this, i watched a youtube video breaking down the details which made me really sit back and realize just how twisted Tom was in this story as well. of course, Summer is seen as the surface level villain when you see her so unwilling to commit only to turn around and get married. my perspective kind of switched to noticing the details where they were both toxic in their own ways. i could definitely see myself revisiting this again soon, like i said before it hurts so good 🫶🏼

10/10 movie however rating slightly lower because i can just feel that ill love it more every rewatch! also this review more reflects the experience i had while watching not as much about the movie. i do plan to rewatch asap so stay tuned for another review of this movie before the summer is over 💝 i recently went through a really dark time, i went nearly 3 weeks without actually watching a movie. i did watch/log 5 within that time but even during those movies i was completely checked out of reality. which was strange for me because movies are usually my comfort and to be in such a dark place that i couldn’t even find comfort through film was difficult. i especially didn’t have the energy to sit through a new movie during that time, so when i was finally able to find the mental clarity to watch this next movie on my list it felt like a huge step forward for my mental health! like i finally got over that mental block which wasnt allowing me to enjoy life. im honestly still going through it but everyday is better and im thrilled that ive been able to enjoy the things in life again that bring me happiness. also, this was the last movie written by Quentin Tarantino on my watchlist so i knew i wanted to really have my mind clear enough to enjoy the film to the fullest considering i love his other work so much! and this film was no different i absolutely loved it!! Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette together are such great duo i was hoping for their happy ending from the moment she dumped her popcorn on him 💋🍿 side note this fits perfectly on my “guns n romance” list!

i had such an interesting viewing experience this time when i watched it! i had got through nearly all of it but fell asleep with like 30 minutes left. with our fire stick, if you play a movie a certain way sometimes it’ll like replay a couple times. so that night every time id wake up thru the night(which was multiple times) it was at a random part of eternal sunshine! it was really interesting because it played like 3/4 times total i think and the movie is already operating on a nonlinear timeline so it was cool to keep waking up during different parts; like the way it just felt like one longgggg movie was playing all night because it’s not like the story is told in order ya know 😂 idk how to explain it but it was lit and felt unlike any other time i’ve watched this. it added an extra layer of fever dream vibes and i loved it! as always this is one of my all time fav movies 🩵

i watched this during day 1 of the most intense depressive episodes i’ve had in my adult life. despite the fact i was partially disassociated during this watch it still gave me immense comfort during such a difficult time. forever and always a movie that provides that feel good vibe even when your world is crumbling around you ❤️‍🩹

Rachel McAdams is THE time traveling queen 👑she’s found a lil niche & i hope one day she returns to that subgenre. compared to her other movies with that theme, i think this one takes the cake for most gut wrenching. About Time is a close contender but something about the very end of this movie when she gets to run into her husband’s arms in the field that just absolutely rips my heart out. i’m sitting at work writing this and genuinely the thought of that scene is causing me to fight back tears. i first saw this as an adolescence during the era when i would always watch movies with my mom, we probably rented it at family video! i knew Rachel from Mean Girls (of course) so i can recall being excited to watch this simply because of that! although i didn’t quite the whole story,  the general feelings the movie gave me stuck with me all this time. this was my first time rewatching since then, i was  so happy to revisit & rediscover just how painfully beautiful it really is. highly recommend if you need your heart ripped out ❤️‍🩹

Moonrise Kingdom is my 2nd favorite Wes Anderson movie so far; words can’t explain how cozy the viewing experience feels to me. the twisted love story / runaway plot was so pure, i really had no idea where the story was leading to but i absolutely LOVED how it ended!!!! honestly he’s so real because if i had no home id wanna jump off the roof too LOL it was incredibly sweet to see that instead he was rescued not only in that moment but indefinitely 🥹 it really pulls at my heart strings! & of course Wes Anderson is telling a profound story wrapped up in a decorative bow - so to speak 🎀 also, much like how i feel about The Royal Tenebaums, i love the story just as much at i adore the cinematography choices!!! 

anyways, this is the perfect film to watch during the summer if it’s sitting on your watchlist 🏕️🫶🏼

being a middle school girl is traumatic: the movie

rewatching Baby Mama for the first time in a decade has inspired me to create a “movies that raised me” list because truly this was on repeat from the years like 2008-2012. SO nostalgia & i still love it; Tina Fey & Amy Poehler will forever be an iconic dynamic duo !!! the humor in this is that classic 2000s vibe & i found myself laughing at all the silly jokes just like i did when i was a kid. this is the kinda movie that just doesn’t get old because of the memories you have watching it so much. like it’s forever engraved in my brain Amy’s character peeing in the sink LOL anyways, for such a chaotic story i also love the ending! i’ll be rewatching again as soon as i find it thrifting! 🍼

legitimately one of the most painful scenes i’ve watched. Candy is absolutely heart wrenching, it felt so raw like we were just a fly on the wall & it really made me feel such deep emotions for the characters. also watching this while i was getting ready for the day was a weird choice because i couldn’t stop thinking about it the rest of the day. anyways, beautiful cinema for when you’re in the mood for a bleak, dark, drug related story.

hear me out.. i think the world needs another Cillian Murphy & Rachel Mcadams movie pronto! their dynamic had a chilling effect, specifically i’d love to see them in another thriller! i have to mention everytime i watch a wes craven movie for the first time im reminded that i’m one step closer to finishing his filmography and never being able to watch one of his films for the first time again 😭 so i try to treasure the first time viewing and this was no different! best plane themed movie ive watched, if you have a suggestion for another great plane movie id love to hear it! anyways im biased im sure because hes one of my favorite directors but this is a solid 4.5 & i could easily see bumping up to a 5 after a couple of rewatches❤️‍🔥

i bought a blu ray player for $3 at the thrift then spent 45 minutes trying to figure out how to program a universal remote to it and finally was able to watch this movie after a couple months of not being able to watch any physical media! i accidentally broke my dvd player and was happy to find a replacement so cheap! 🥳 anyways this movie was an absolute 90s feel good romance i’m so happy to know it exists now!!! such a dreamy and cozy viewing experience i can’t wait to rewatch already!!! it’s getting a 4.5 because i know ill love it even more when i see it again! Drew’s energy is perfect for this movie, she’s such a Pisces i felt like this movie really captures her sweet emotional side beautifully. she has been a comfort actress of mine since forever & i love that i have a new found comfort movie from her! 💝

Spontaneous is a fun lil morbid teen comedy ❤️‍🔥Katherine Langford had so much potential to be an iconic actress yet she kinda just disappeared. it’s unfortunate, i really loved her in Knives Out and now i love her in Spontaneous! this movie had such a wild concept & her character eventually becoming lackadaisical was interesting, honestly relatable because at some point i’d just check out too if my friends were exploding in my face 🤯 i could see myself revisiting, horror comedy is a fav genres & i feel like this fits into that category!
