A very raw and very real look into how it feels

Without a hint of facetiousness, I’m genuinely of the mind that this movie is a masterpiece
The level of soul and ion on display here is absolutely insane and it is beyond evident that the people that made this understand art and what it means to create something you believe in against all odds
The editing and VFX in this movie are enough to fry most people’s brains… but it’s all so unbelievably… fun!! Everything about this movie is just…
Needing to escape reality and needing to experience reality are both ideas that resonates with me all too heavily... better than I can really put into words to be honest...
The pain of not knowing and not being known... left alone, when all you've ever sought was someone who cared enough to try...
The isolating feeling of only ever being observed in a ive sense, that lacks a total and holistic understanding from the viewing party...
The necessary distractions that…
This was pretty fun!!
Disorganized in some places and a little bit scatterbrained in its approach to telling the story it wanted to tell, but all in all, a pleasant experience
I'm a sucker for any type of southern mysticism or mythology so bonus points from me there!!
Post credit scene was really touching too... made me smile...
There are these afterimages of the world beyond yourself
Ghastly streaks of time, thought, and emotion
They cling to your arms and attach the weight of life to each stride you do or do not take
They will follow you wherever you go
There is something that is both abrasive and calm
It weighs upon your soul with no defined form
The internal and the external blend into one that both is and isn't
That is who you are
Crushing, aching, weeping, moaning, gnashing of teeth.
Three meters away, two meters away, one meter away, half a meter away.

Kotoko lives an abusive life where every second shakes and throws her.
Kotoko lives a painful life where she must constantly check if she is allowed to remain.
Kotoko lives a helpless life as a victim of her own mind.
Kotoko lives a miserable life full of distrust and uncertainty.
Kotoko lives a dissociated life where each moment can only be strung together by a wishful belief in her own perception.
Kotoko lives.
It's good... sadly I don't really have much to say about it...
I didn't really like the final stretch... very good art though and the beginning part was super cool... I kinda feel let down considering how much hype I saw for this from everyone around me but that's alright...
Keep on creating and never stop loving!!
When you stumble across something that is both immovable and without end, your first instinct may very well be to break it.
Or perhaps your first instinct would be to wander alongside it, in hopes of uncovering a turn or edge, that you'll never realistically reach.
That certainly seems easiest...
You're all alone here, and the rest of the world seems to have already found their way past this obstacle...
Besides, breaking it would be such a radical change...
In…
