Cool to see mumblecore style films existed back in the day.
There's honestly not a whole lot to this, but that's what makes this an enjoyable watch. It's a very relatable, real world type of film that touches on the importance of friendship. The cast and the cinematography carry the film. These are a group of people you can just stick in a room and have them do their thing without much direction, and that's exactly what they did here. It was cool to see how the DP saw each season through the lens, and how the shots created the atmosphere. That combined with the production design brought each season to life in a realistic way.
Not my typical genre or type of film, but it's nice to branch out every once in a while. I am curious about other films around this time, with a similar style. I'm sure there are tons more like it, it's just something I haven't explored. But am now curious!
If you like a rom-com-dram and are looking for something different, I'd say it's worth the watch. Not sure of the re-watchability for me, but you may feel different!
