Powerful imagery while the drama keeps its distance.

Yeah, anyone coming into this blind would hate this. I dug its vibe and existential moments. The connective tissue is sparse.

The confidence and multi-tasking is impressive. I could have gone for another 15-20 minutes, but it's rare to get a 70 minutes movie that feels full.

I petsit for the director so I'm gonna rate Veena's doggos.

The film is ok.

I just want to thank Netflix for making this 80 minutes long and not as a four-hour miniseries. I haven't been able to stand any true crime docies since OJ Made in America. So much filler.

I'm certainly on board with being impressed by how it weaved fiction and documentary but it otherwise didn't quite hit the spot again after the first 20 minutes or so.

A shitty streamer at NYFF didn't help the experience either.

One of the best most personal treatises on mortality and the importance of diaries. Sometimes confronted head-on, sometimes completely incidental. To be honest, Cameraperson did little for me, but I loved this.

I'm glad I didn't watch it before Kajillionaire because this brand of quirky is not my jam.

Its quirkiness (read: contrivances) may put off some, but this was totally my jam. Exuberant, colourful, and full of equals parts heart and anguish. It may be a case study for an invented situation, but the writing is creative and the cast do a terrific job of humanizing their characters.

A survival story that hits you right in the sleep deprivation.
