Breaking my rule of reviewing TV episodes just to talk about this one, because honestly, it could’ve been a full-blown blockbuster.

I was surprised not only that they pulled off a sequel episode, but that it might actually sur the original. While it’s more upbeat than your typical Black Mirror, I really enjoyed it for what it set out to be: a fun, fast-paced sci-fi romp.

Honestly? I had more fun with this than with any Star Wars movie (except Rogue One) or sci-fi film I’ve seen since like 2015. Straight-up kino 👌🏾

Watched Plaything and it hit me, I hadn’t revisited Bandersnatch in ages. I was obsessed with it when it first dropped, and rewatching it now? Still a fucking masterpiece. The concept, the execution, all of it, peak Black Mirror, peak Netflix. That era of next-level innovation where everything clicked. It’s so sharp, so meta, I think this is the best it ever was, there is and ever will be.

And honestly? Colin’s PAC-man acid trip monologue weirdly speaks to me.…

Not to sound all boomer, but they literally don’t make movies like this anymore. I need movies to be shot in technicolour again, even though it’s literally impossible. 

Has such a cool aesthetic, the colours just POP, a timeless classic!

Before the sesh, before video games, before even film and TV, my first love was professional wrestling. Despite that, I knew surprisingly little about the Von Erich family. Now that I do, this film and their story make it clear: wrestling may be predetermined, but it’s never fake.

This movie is a total nonstop apotheosis (TNA 👀) of two truths; no one truly thrives under patriarchy, not even men, and professional wrestling is one of the most physically demanding art forms…
