saw this in my awesome hometown of Oakland, CA at my favorite theater AKA the grand lake theatre which is also beloved by hometown hero and director ryan coogler who made baller movie sinners
this rips!!!! tears, screams, laughs galore. had such a packed and lively audience at this screening and feeling so full of every feeling but mostly: i love movies
Nothing to speak on that I didn’t touch on before, or the overwhelming love has discussed before; I just want to mention the (true) ending is one that always makes me cry and I’m happy that movies like this can bring us together.
Exhilarating. Everyone simply dripping with charisma. Ryan Coogler bringing SEXINESS back to the movies, God bless. Sinners is sooo freak nasty and I love it. And the ending made me think of Le Rayon Vert (LOL), I would have never expected it. Also when we get to THEE bloody climactic scene and the aspect ratio opened up along with the doors, whewww I thought that was incredible.

I just know I'll be thinking about this film for a long time. I have so much to say but I'm so in awe of what I've just watched I can't gather my thoughts.
I have to add, though, watching this in imax 70mm and seeing those aspect ratio changes blew me away

I left this movie floating. Punching walls and grabbing my friend from the collar in excitement. I haven’t been more energized like this is awhile. Especially a sober matinee. Insane. Every moment of my day since the post credits scene has been downhill. Nothing will live up to the feeling of seeing this in that big IMAX. So many moments made me squeal and punch the air.
