It’s actually incredible and inspiring how much more this was about than just living secretly in a mall. Gentrification, community, protesting, public art, capitalism, white privilege, no stone was left unturned in this docco. I was in awe of what they managed to achieve throughout the 4 years of the apartment’s existence.

At first it felt like they both were taking turns to be selfish but then you think, is it really selfish to care for one’s self? To do what makes you happy? Why is it selfish to want that just because your partner is currently unable to attain their goals? Should we pause ourselves indefinitely for our loved ones? I genuinely dont know what the correct answer to any of these questions are, all I know is it’ll keep me up for a long time
