Every scene with Gary Oldman in, is delightful. But for every such scene there is one with Winona Ryder and Keane Reeves trying to act in an English accent.
And then for every scene with a man eating insects or other gruesome moments, there are those with the divine Monica Bellucci and other fair creatures.
Copolla’s direction is masterful yet for all the lavish production on display there were plenty of oversights that stood out.
