One of the best examples of high concept with perfect execution.
The Truman Show is funny yet extremely thought provoking and moving. I hadn’t seen it since I was a kid and what struck me on this viewing is how much of a character study this is.
Jim Carrey and Ed Harris are fantastic and Peter Weir’s direction is masterful! His choice to shoot so much of this movie like the show itself is so effective.
