This didn’t really hang together as a movie. Some excellent dialogue as you’d expect from Armstrong, and you can really feel the Succession energy. All four leads are really good and delineate tech bro archetypes that feel real. Maybe a bit too real. It actually hits as bleak rather than funny as we are really only a few small nudges away from this apocalyptic scenario. As a half hour sketch this would be top class but at this length it didn’t get off the runway.

Every time a new moment catches my eye. This time: Indy in the map room, looking for the right slot to insert the staff (stop sniggering). He finds it but it's an undisturbed slot, proving that even if Belloq had the right staff length (stop sniggering) he would still have been digging in the wrong place. Every time I watch I am more convinced it may be the best film ever made.

Every art form has its pinnacle, the masterwork that defines the medium. Incredible to think that for cinema that moment came in 1985. Welcome back John. So glad you could make it.
